Terms of use
Written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain words.
1 · Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by She Be The Change, a Delaware C-Corporation. We are an independent network. We are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and we have no affiliation with, sponsorship from, or endorsement by the United Nations or any of its bodies. Nothing here should be read as implying otherwise.
2 · What this site is for
The site describes our work, invites collaboration, and lets you tell us what you would like to work on together. Some parts of it accept information you choose to send us: the collaboration form, the investor-information page, and grant enquiries. What happens to that information is described in our privacy notice.
3 · We are not offering you a security
No part of this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. The investor-information page exists so that an institution can tell us it would like to be in contact and can describe itself to us. It carries no terms, no price and no commitment on either side, and submitting information through it creates no agreement of any kind.
Any future transaction of that nature would happen separately, in writing, through counsel, and only with parties eligible to take part under the law that applies to them.
4 · Contributions are not tax-deductible
Because we are a Delaware C-Corporation and not a tax-exempt charitable organisation, contributions to She Be The Change are not tax-deductible as charitable gifts. We say this plainly on every surface that invites a contribution, and we would rather you heard it from us than from your accountant. If your institution needs a charitable vehicle, tell us and we will say honestly whether we can route it that way.
Contributions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Contributions are voluntary and, unless we have agreed something specific with you in writing, they are not refundable and are not earmarked to a particular programme.
5 · Grant enquiries
We accept enquiries from foundations, agencies and other institutional funders. An enquiry is a conversation, not an application, and it binds neither of us. Where a funder can only disburse to a tax-exempt entity, we will say so early rather than late, and discuss whether a fiscal sponsor is the right route.
6 · The Evidence Ledger
The Evidence Ledger shows every public record with its state — draft, reviewed or verified — together with its source and its reviewer. That mechanism is real: a record cannot reach verified without evidence attached and a reviewer other than its author, and every change of state is appended to an audit trail rather than overwriting what came before.
Records shown as part of the demonstration are illustrative and are labelled as such. Do not rely on a demonstration record as a statement of fact about the world, and do not rely on any record in a state other than verified as more than a claim awaiting review.
7 · Using the site fairly
Please do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its data, submit false information or evidence, submit anything that infringes someone else's rights or that identifies a vulnerable person without their consent, interfere with its availability for other people, or use automated means to extract its contents at scale. We may decline or remove submissions and restrict access where we believe any of this is happening.
8 · Content and rights
The text, design, code and graphics of this site belong to She Be The Change or to the people we licensed them from. Where a record's evidence comes from a third-party source, it is attributed to that source and remains theirs. If you send us information, you keep what you own in it, and you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for — and, where it is submitted as evidence for a public record, to publish it as part of that record.
9 · Nothing here is professional advice
The site is informational. It is not legal, tax, financial or investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to take any particular action. Take your own advice before you act.
10 · What we do and do not promise
We work to keep the site accurate and available, and we will correct errors when we find them, but we provide it as it is: we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11 · Changes, and which law applies
We may update these terms as the work changes; the date at the top of this page tells you when we last did. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country gives you rights that cannot be displaced, which it may.
